Monday 6th July – bike **** Felixstowe to Levington – sunny

Woke up to lovely sunshine and with not much wind forecast I had a nice relaxing breakfast in the garden before making a flask and heading off on our bikes. We headed to Levington along the beautiful tree lined lane just over Cordys Lane coming out on the River Orwell by Loompit. We sat on our favorite seat on the cliffs watching many yachts enjoying a nice breeze before heading to Trimley Marsh reserve and home along the prom :)

Windsurf * The Manor – Felixstowe

I keep an eye on the Landguard weather station and the wind did seem all of the place but it was building a little so I took the gear for a ride. First checking The Dip but the tide was high so not much beach so I went to The Manor, the sun had gone, the sea was high and lumpy but the wind was showing 18/20 mph on the gauge so rigged the 7.8 but again by the time I had got my suit on the wind had dropped again :( I had had five runs where I floundered out and just got planning back – what a waste of time!
